Bought a $90 magnetic stop block set and the magnets gave out in 3 weeks
The block slid mid-cut on a maple face frame and I lost two good stiles plus a whole afternoon re-milling. Has anyone found a stop that actually holds, or is clamping a scrap block still the safest bet?
Man that stings, losing good maple stiles over a stop block that couldn't hold is a rough way to burn an afternoon. A $90 set giving out in three weeks is just plain bad, and I'd be fighting for a refund. Clamping a scrap block still beats trusting weak magnets when your cut actually matters.
