Update: the guy at the Portland swap called my 1 inch pins "cluttered" and he was right
I had been cramming 4 or 5 tiny graphics onto every 1 inch button, and at the Portland button swap last Saturday a guy held one up and said "your art's fighting itself, pick one thing and let it breathe." I cut my designs down to a single bold shape with the text around the rim, and my last batch of 60 pins sold out in a weekend instead of sitting in a shoebox. How many elements do you all usually cap on small rounds before it starts looking like noise?
