My old shop teacher in Dayton said crank the press down hard or the shell splits, and I lost 40 shells before I stopped listening
He was dead wrong, backing the die off a half turn on my 1 inch Tecre cut my scrap rate to almost nothing, so who else had to unlearn a "always crank it tighter" habit from someone they trusted?
