A lady at the Tacoma flea market sold me her dead dad's button press for $40 and it fixed my scrap problem
I was digging through a junk booth at the Tacoma flea market two weekends ago when this older woman mentioned the heavy green press under her table had been her dad's. I offered $40 mostly to be nice, got it home, and realized the dies were a weird 1.75 inch size instead of my usual 2.25. Turns out that odd size is perfect for cutting circles out of all the misprinted sheets I used to toss, so now almost nothing hits the trash bin. My scrap pile went from a full grocery bag a week down to a small sandwich bag. Has anyone else run a nonstandard die size, and where do you get your blanks without paying an arm and a leg?
