He hit each key hard for like 20 seconds to feel the bottom out and I realized return policy keyboards at the store tell you more about key travel than any spec sheet, so now I do the same thing before buying, does anyone else test in stores like this or is it just me?
Man, I used to be the exact opposite and just trust the spec sheets like an idiot. Then I spent weeks reading about "optimal actuation force" and bought a board online that felt like typing on wet cardboard. Now I do the Best Buy smash test too, and you're right, it tells you way more. Last month I sat there for ten minutes just holding down the space bar on three different laptops to check the rattle. The workers probably hate me but who cares, it works.
