My dad's 1987 truck has a crank window and I'll take it over any power window
Last month my dad let me take his 1987 Ford F-150 to the hardware store in Flagstaff, and the crank window rolled down so smooth I just sat there playing with it. Everyone online says power windows are better, but that truck has 340,000 miles and the regulator still works fine, while my 2016 car needed a $400 motor at 80,000 miles. There's no waiting for a motor, no fuse to blow, and I can stop the window at any height I want. Maybe I'm just cheap, but is there a real reason power windows beat a hand crank other than looking fancy?
