I finally turned off tap sounds on my phone after a friend borrowed it for 10 minutes
She handed it back and said the clicks were making her crazy, so I turned off the keyboard sound and switched to haptic buzz. Three days in and I'm typing faster because I'm not flinching at every tap anymore. Anyone else ditch the sound and keep the vibration, or did you go full silent?
My old Pixel 4a had the tap sound on for like two years and I never noticed it until my nephew grabbed it to look something up. He goes "why does your phone sound like a typewriter" and I was honestly kind of embarrassed. Switched to vibrate only that same night and my thumbs felt weird for a day but now the buzz is just muscle memory. The clicky sound was basically me flinching at my own phone all day, which sounds dumb when I say it out loud. Quiet rooms are way less awkward too, no more people turning around when I fire off a text in a waiting room.
