A guy in Nashville squeezed my own door knob and asked why it felt cheap, and he was right
I put a $4 hollow brass knob on my front door 8 months ago because it looked nice in the store, and I never thought twice about it. Then my buddy came over, grabbed it, and said "this thing feels like a soda can," which stung because he was right. I swapped it for a solid knob with actual weight, and now opening my own door feels like a reward instead of a chore. Same goes for the deadbolt, the cheap one turned with this gritty drag I just got used to. What cheap knob have you been putting up with way too long?
