TIL a $9 hand saw beats my electric one for cutting through bone-in ribs
Had a 6 bone rack of pork ribs to break down for a customer who wanted them split into single ribs and my band saw blade was dull, so I grabbed the old hand saw hanging by the door. Figured it would take forever but the hand saw cut clean through in about 2 seconds per bone with no splintering, while my electric saw kept grabbing and tearing the meat. Turns out the slow steady stroke gives you way more control around the joint. Anyone else keep a hand saw around for small jobs like this?
