Dropped $340 on a used Hobart grinder and it paid for itself in 5 weeks
Bought a beat up old Hobart meat grinder off a guy in Cleveland for $340 about 5 weeks back, and my shoulder has never felt better. Was doing all my sausage grind by hand with a #12 manual and it was killing me on 50 lb batches, taking almost 2 hours of cranking. First run with the Hobart chewed through 60 lbs of pork butt in maybe 8 minutes, and the grind was way more even than what I was getting manually. Already getting orders I used to turn down because the hand work was too slow. Curious what you all run for grinders when you're doing 100+ lbs a week, and did you buy new or gamble on used like I did?
