Dropped $250 on a new bandsaw blade and it snapped on the first cut

Spent good money on a Lenox carbide blade for breaking down primals and it gave out after maybe ten minutes on a frozen rib section. Anyone else find cheaper blades hold up just as well if you go slower?

Did you check if the blade speed or tension was right for frozen meat before that first cut? I've found even pricey blades can snap fast if the setup's off, especially on hard stuff like frozen rib sections. What kind of tension gauge are you running on your saw?

Yeah I keep mine around 1800 RPM for frozen stuff, and tension just tight enough so it doesn't wander. Had a blade snap on a rib roast last year and learned that lesson hard.
