A guy in Dallas tried to return a brisket to my shop 3 days after he bought it
Last month this guy walks in with a brisket in a cooler bag, still wrapped in my brown paper, and sets it on the counter like he's returning a shirt that didn't fit. He says his smoker ran hot and the flat came out dry, so he wants his $68 back. I ask him if he still has the meat. He says no, they ate most of it. So he wanted a full refund on a brisket his own smoker wrecked, three days after the fact. I explain that once it leaves my cooler I can't resell it and nothing was wrong with the cut itself, I trimmed it right in front of him. He stood there for a minute, then asked if I'd at least give him a discount on the next one. I gave him 10 percent off just to get my counter back. Any of you deal with returns like this, or is it just a Dallas thing?
