Was dead set against digital calipers for years. Finally switched.
I always thought my old analog dial calipers were fine, been using them since I started building furniture in my dad's garage. Last month I was measuring tenons for a dining table in my shop outside Portland and kept second guessing myself on the 1/64ths. A guy at the lumber yard showed me his digital ones, said they never drift and the zero button is magic. Picked up a $25 pair and after measuring out 14 mortises perfect in a row, I don't think I can go back. Has anyone else had a tool they refused to change but now swear by?

My buddy Dan bought digital calipers and spent a whole weekend measuring all his old projects to see if he was wrong.
