Tried a 50/50 water and vinegar mix on my stained grout lines
Last weekend I was about to re-grout my bathroom wall because the tiles looked filthy no matter how much I scrubbed. Gave the vinegar trick a shot with a stiff brush and ten minutes of elbow grease, and now it looks almost new. Has anyone else found a random household mix that actually outworks the store-bought stuff?

Huh, I was always skeptical about vinegar for anything beyond salad dressing, but you might have just changed my mind on that.

A buddy of mine tried using apple cider vinegar on his dog's itchy skin after nothing else worked. The poor thing had been scratching for weeks and the vet bills were piling up. A week of diluted vinegar rinses and the dog was finally sleeping through the night again.
