The paint mixer at Home Depot in Tulsa saved my whole kitchen reno
Went in for two gallons of sage green, the shaker jammed and sprayed paint all over my boots. The clerk laughed, gave me a discount, and now I always hand-stir small batches instead. Anyone else trust a rickety machine over their own arms?

That bit about the shaker spraying paint all over your boots took me back. I had a five gallon bucket of off white tip over in the back of my minivan once, not at the store, just me being clumsy on the way home. It looked like a Jackson Pollock painting back there for years. But honestly, I get the hand stirring thing. My arms are way more reliable than any machine I have ever met. The trick is to get a good stir stick and go slow, bottom to top, until you see the color even out. Much less drama than a jammed shaker.
