Pro tip: Glue in screw joints stopped my shed from falling apart

I used to think glue was just for fancy furniture, not basic builds. Most folks I worked with said screws alone were fine for outdoor stuff. When I put up my garden shed, I skipped the adhesive to save cash. A big storm came through and the walls began to shake and separate. I took it apart and redid all the joints with construction glue. Now it stands solid through wind and rain without a single creak. That one change made me see how glue adds strength you can't get from fasteners alone.

How'd you get the glue to really stick in those joints? Had to clamp it all down while drying?

Pretty sure I clamped it so hard the wood started begging for mercy.

I get that your shed shook in the storm, but glue in every joint seems like overkill. I've built stuff with just screws and it held fine for years. @sam_hart talked about clamping for glue, but that's a lot of work for basic outdoor things. Maybe it's just me, but I doubt most sheds need that extra step. If screws are placed right, they should be enough without making it more complex.
