Finally figured out why my paint edges kept peeling after watching a pro in Nashville
Was at a job site last week helping a buddy with his garage. He hired a guy who does it for a living. I noticed he backrolled every cut-in within seconds, not minutes. I always let the brush lines dry first then roll. That was my mistake. The dried edge creates a ridge that peels. Anyone else been doing a basic step wrong for way too long?

I mean that's one of those things that just clicked for me too. I used to let my brush lines dry completely, thinking it'd be cleaner, but I'd always get that ugly ridge. What finally helped me was just wetting the whole wall first with a roller before even cutting in, so the paint stays open longer and blends smoother. Now I cut in and immediately feather the edge with the roller, no waiting. It sounds minor but it saves so much sanding later, you know?

Ngl I was doing the same thing for years before someone finally called me out on it.
