Can we talk about the way they set up the new library in Springfield?

Honestly, I went there last Tuesday and the layout of the main reading room just clicked for me. They have these low bookshelves that only go up to about 4 feet, so you can see the whole space from anywhere. Tbh, it made the room feel huge even though it's not that big. They also put all the power outlets in the floor under the tables, so there are zero cables anywhere. Ngl, I spent like 20 minutes just walking around looking at it. Has anyone else seen a public building use design tricks that good to make a space work better?

Have you ever been so impressed by a building that you just stood there like a confused tourist? I did that at the new post office, but mostly because I couldn't figure out where the line started (the floor arrows were too nice, I felt bad stepping on them). That library setup sounds amazing, though, hiding the outlets is a total game changer. My local one just has a sad power strip taped to a pillar.
