Watching my friend's kid in Denver pick the generic cereal saved me $200 a month.

I was babysitting last month and saw him grab the store brand without a second thought, which made me check my own cart and realize I was spending way too much on name brands for no real reason, so has anyone else found a simple switch that cut a big chunk from their grocery bill?

Generic cereal tastes like cardboard, though.

Generic store brand cola is even worse, it tastes flat and syrupy.

Ever notice how many things we buy just for the box? Like, the store brand pain meds are the exact same stuff for half the price, it's wild.
