The 24-hour cart rule finally broke my impulse buying habit

I kept blowing my monthly food budget on random Target runs in Columbus, so I shifted to leaving items in my online cart for a full day before checking out. After 6 weeks, I've cut those unplanned purchases by about $40 a month without feeling like I'm missing out on anything. Anyone else use a waiting period like this, or do you have a different trick that works better for you?

Tbh, I heard some behavioral economist say that a waiting period basically turns impulse buys into planned ones, and it sounded dumb at first, but your results prove it works. Might have to steal this idea for my own Amazon problem, no cap.
