Shoutout to my grocery store's weird veggie discount bin

They just added a section for odd-shaped produce at like half the normal price. I've been loading up on crooked cucumbers and lumpy tomatoes for weeks now. My salads look kinda hilarious but taste totally fine. It's a silly way to cut my food bill by a good chunk each trip.

Totally, that "initial hurdle" thing is so real. I was the same with my store's clearance rack for meat that's close to its sell-by date. I'd walk right past it for years, thinking it was sketchy. Finally grabbed some chicken, cooked it that night, and it was perfectly fine. Now I plan my meals around those markdowns and save a ton. It feels like finding a cheat code you ignored forever.

Honestly, I used to avoid that stuff but you're right, it's a total game-changer!

Last month, I finally tried batch cooking on Sundays (after years of thinking it was too much work). Now I save like two hours every week and eat way healthier. It's crazy how we put off simple fixes that make life easier, like using a password manager instead of remembering everything. I see friends do the same with exercise apps or even just drinking more water. Once you get past that initial hurdle, the payoff is huge, exactly like you said.
