Remember when you could get a decent used car for under two grand? I had to pick between fixing my old beater or taking on a loan for something newer.

Sell a kidney, yeah. That reminds me of the time my neighbor tried to barter an old snowblower for a set of tires. Whole thing fell apart when they argued over who threw in the first tank of gas. People get weird when cash isn't involved.

Honestly, selling a kidney to cover a bill is like burning your furniture for heat. Yeah, it technically works once, but now you're down a kidney and still broke. Much rather barter a snowblower, at least you keep all your organs.
