My coworker called my spreadsheet a mess - best thing that happened to my budget

Tbh I had this huge color coded spreadsheet with every single purchase tracked, but my coworker said it was too complicated and I'd never stick with it. She was right, I kept missing days. Now I just track my main 3 categories (groceries, gas, eating out) in a simple notes app and my savings went up $80 a month because I actually do it. Anyone else been told their system was over the top?

My color coded system had more tabs than my browser history and I still couldn't stick with it, lol.

@janahenderson you gotta keep it simple, just four colors max or your brain will rebel against you and you'll end up with a pile of sticky notes on your desk like the rest of us lol.
