Heard a coworker's grocery hack that actually works
I was grabbing coffee and overheard two people talking about how they only buy meat on the 'clearance' day at our local Kroger, which is Tuesday mornings. I tried it this week and got chicken for $1.99 a pound instead of $4.99. What's your best store-specific timing tip for saving money?

Oh nice, that's a solid tip. I read somewhere that a lot of stores mark down bakery stuff super early in the morning, like right when they open.

Yeah, the early morning markdowns are a total game changer for fresh bread!

Totally agree with @noraj79, it's a smart move. I see this kind of timing trick everywhere now. Like hitting the deli counter right before they change over the lunch meats, or grabbing day-old donuts for half price. It's all about catching that little window before stuff gets tossed or refreshed. Makes you feel like you cracked a secret code.
