A friend at the park told me she 'just pays the minimum' on her credit card. It made me stop and think.

Whoa, I actually see it a little differently! Minimum payments can be a useful tool if you're smart about it. Like, if you have a 0% APR intro period and you're just riding that out while your money sits in a high-yield savings account, that's actually a win. Not everyone can just drop thousands on a card every month, and as long as she's paying on time, her credit score won't suffer. The real danger is if she's carrying a balance with interest fees for months or years. But if she's just paying the minimum during a rough patch to avoid late fees and keep her credit healthy, I get it. Honestly, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do without people judging.

Yikes, that's a dangerous game. The interest will bury you over time. She's basically paying the bank to stay in debt forever.

I used to do that too, but seeing the math on interest totally changed my mind.
