Warning: I chose a 6 hour bus ride over a $200 flight to Austin

My buddy said I was nuts, but I packed snacks and downloaded movies to save cash. Honestly, the bus was clean and I arrived with an extra $180 in my pocket. Has anyone else done a crazy long haul to make a trip work?

Used to feel the same way as you @alice_barnes35, until I had a six hour layover with a screaming baby two rows back. That clock moves real slow when you're stuck. It's not the time itself, it's how you have to spend it. Six hours in an airport seat is a whole different beast than six hours on your couch. Turns out it's plenty long enough to lose your mind a little.
