Spent $25 on a local SIM card in Bangkok and it saved my entire trip
Paid for a week of unlimited data, which meant I could use ride-share apps and Google Maps instead of getting lost and overpaying for cabs. Anyone have a better SIM card company for Southeast Asia?

Calling local SIMs a "travel hack" is a bit much. That's just basic travel planning, like packing a toothbrush. It's not some secret trick.
