PSA: The $25 bus pass in Lisbon was a total game changer for me
I got the 72-hour Carris pass last month, which covers all trams, buses, and funiculars. It meant I could hop on and off anywhere without buying a ticket each time, which saved a ton of hassle. I probably used it 30 times over three days, so each ride cost less than a dollar. Has anyone found a similar transit deal in another city that worked this well?

Good tip about Lisbon. @keithpalmer, Berlin's day pass is actually validated when you buy it from a machine, no stamping needed. That rule is for single tickets you buy on the bus or tram.

Gotta love those "stamp or regret it" moments in Berlin. I remember standing at a ticket machine for a solid five minutes trying to figure out if I had validated my pass or just bought a very expensive piece of paper. Almost felt like the transit system was playing a cruel joke on tourists. But hey, at least you didn't get slapped with a fine like the guy I saw who forgot to stamp his day pass and had to pay 60 euros on the spot. That $25 Lisbon bus pass sounds like a dream compared to that mess, no stamping, no stress, just hop on and go. Did it cover the yellow trams too or just the regular buses?

That's a solid deal, makes me think of the time I tried to figure out the single-ride tickets in Berlin and just gave up and walked everywhere lol. The day pass there was a lifesaver, but you gotta remember to stamp it which I definitely forgot once.
