PSA: that $22 airport train in Oslo saved me $140 and I am still mad about all the cab rides I paid for
I was booking a trip to Norway last month and almost dropped $150 on a shuttle from the airport when a random comment on a travel forum said to just grab the Flytoget train instead. The ticket is about 22 bucks and it drops you right in the city center in like 20 minutes. I sat there doing the math on every trip I have ever taken where I just grabbed a cab because I was tired and didn't want to figure out the trains. That is easily a few hundred dollars gone over the last couple years just from being lazy at the airport. The worst part is the info is free, I just never looked it up before booking. Now I check the airport to city transit before I even pick a hotel. What is the cheapest airport to city ride you have ever scored, and where was it?
