My buddy swore by booking flights on a Tuesday at 3 PM, so I tried it for a trip to Denver.

Honestly, he said he saved a bunch doing this for years. I checked the same flight every day for a week, and on that Tuesday afternoon, it was actually $15 more than the Monday price. Ngl, I was pretty bummed. Has anyone else found a specific time that actually works for cheaper tickets lately?

Ugh, that old Tuesday tip is such a myth now. I just use a price tracker app and book when it tells me the price is low for my dates. Have you tried setting up alerts instead?

Actually, the tracker apps are great but they miss one thing. Airlines sometimes drop prices for a few minutes if someone cancels a seat last minute. You have to be watching the actual airline site at weird hours to catch those.

Wait, they actually drop prices for a few minutes like that? That's wild and sounds super stressful to even try to catch. I've heard of last minute deals but not a window that short where the price just randomly dips and comes back. So you're saying someone could be refreshing the page, see a fare drop, and then it's gone before they even finish checking bags? Have you actually snagged one of those drops before?
