Just realized I hit 50,000 frequent flyer miles without ever buying a plane ticket

Turns out signing up for a credit card with a bonus offer then using it to pay my rent via a fee-free portal got me there in 8 months, anyone else found a weird loophole that worked?

Hell yeah, that rent portal trick is legit and way more people need to know about it. I did the same thing with my property's payment system and racked up miles without ever setting foot on a plane. Just watch out for any hidden fees on those portals because some landlords slip them in and it kills the whole point.

Huh, I gotta say I see it differently @finley_walker57. That rent portal trick sounds good until you realize you're paying 2-3% in processing fees that totally wipe out the value of the miles you earn. The math just doesn't work out for most people once you factor in annual fees.
