Got stranded at JFK for 8 hours and turned it into a free meal
Last spring my flight out of JFK got delayed 8 hours due to weather. I was super annoyed at first but then I remembered the airport lounge trick. I bought a cheap day pass for like $40 online and got unlimited snacks, drinks, and a quiet place to nap. Has anyone else used lounge passes to save money on long layovers?

Totally feel you on that, 8 hours stuck anywhere is brutal. Turning a crappy delay into unlimited snacks and a nap spot is honestly genius. Glad you made the best of it.
