Debate: Should you book flights 6 months out or wait for last-minute deals? I got burned both ways.
I booked a flight to Portland, Maine 5 months ahead for $180 round trip. Then 2 weeks before, the same flight dropped to $120. But last year I waited and paid $350 for a last-minute ticket to Austin when prices spiked. So which strategy actually works better for you, or is it all just luck depending on the route?

Actually the trick is booking on a Tuesday morning when airlines update their sales.

How much of a difference have you actually seen booking on Tuesday versus just using something like Google Flights and setting price alerts?
