Compared two hostel booking sites in Lisbon and saved $14 a night

Last month I was planning a 3 night stay in Lisbon and found the same hostel listed on two different booking sites. One site showed $32 a night, the other had it at $26 with a free cancellation option. At first I thought it was too good to be true so I called the hostel directly to confirm. They said they honor whatever rate the site shows as long as you book through them. I went with the cheaper one and had zero issues at check in. Total saved was $42 for the stay which covered two nice dinners. Has anyone else found big price gaps like this on the same property? I usually just use the first site that pops up but now I'm wondering if I should always cross check.
