A pound of pinto beans from the HEB on South Congress makes 6 cups cooked for $1.29 while the canned ones run $0.89 for 1.5 cups, so last week I finally started soaking them overnight and now I'm mad I waited this long, anyone got a good cheap way to flavor the pot without bacon?
