My $47 grocery run on Tuesday fed us all week, and I cannot figure out how it went so right
I do not usually brag about shopping trips, but something clicked at Aldi in Grand Rapids on Tuesday and I walked out with a full cart for $47.13. I grabbed the marked down chicken thighs at $1.99 a pound, a 10 pound bag of potatoes, dried beans, and whatever vegetables were on the clearance shelf. We ate black bean soup, sheet pan chicken with roasted potatoes, and a big pot of chili that lasted three nights. The weird part is I did not plan any of it, I just refused to buy anything that was not on sale. Does anyone have a system for weeks like this, or was it just dumb luck?
