Watch out for that guy pushing cheap mortar mix on job sites

I had a guy pull up to my job in Phoenix last month offering a pallet of mix for half price, said it was leftover from a big project. I checked the bags and they were all clumped up from moisture, would have ruined my whole wall if I didn't catch it. Has anyone else had random sellers try to dump bad materials on them?

Call the supplier and report those sellers so they can't keep scamming other crews.

Have you seen those guys pulling up to job sites with "extra" materials? My buddy Bill in Tucson fell for it last spring, bought a whole skid of what turned out to be cheap mix that set too fast and cracked his foundation work. He ended up tearing it all out and losing two days of labor, not to mention the headache of dealing with the homeowner.
