My latest project has me baffled by this old brick bonding pattern

I've never seen this zigzag setup before and it's throwing off my usual pace, any pointers?

Absolutely! I spotted that exact pattern on some old warehouses downtown last month. It's wild how common it is in pre-war brickwork. You notice that too?

Really? I've been looking at those same buildings and I see a totally different pattern. Most of the brickwork looks like a basic running bond to me, not that fancy one you mentioned. Maybe the light was hitting it wrong when you saw it.
