Bought a $300 laser level for a big foundation job in Denver

It cut my layout time in half and the lines were dead straight. What's the best tool purchase you've made that actually paid for itself fast?

@quinn_kim45 you're thinking about it wrong. It's not the price tag that matters, it's how fast it pays off. I've noticed most people waste money buying cheap tools over and over instead of swallowing the one big cost up front. Same thing happens with boots and work gloves - folks will buy three pairs of $40 boots in one year that fall apart instead of one $120 pair that lasts three years. That laser level is gonna save you hours of rework and frustration.

Yeah, that's wild. I once saw a fancy tape measure for like two hundred. Couldn't tell you what made it so special.
