Why does every hair product brand use the same minimalist font?
I was restocking my gym bag last Tuesday and looked at my shampoo, my body wash, and my deodorant. All three had the exact same thin sans-serif typeface and white packaging. I could barely tell them apart in my locker. It's like every brand copied the same template since 2016. What happened to bold colors or actual personality? Does this plain look really sell more, or are brands just scared to stand out? Has anyone else noticed this in other aisles like coffee or cleaning stuff?
And here I am barely able to tell my shampoo from my face wash in the shower half awake. Same white bottle, same skinny font, so I just guess and hope for the best. Coffee bags are even worse, they all look like a design student's final project now.
