Update: I tried a simple color test on my client's logo and it fixed a big problem
My client in Austin runs a food truck and their logo looked great on their truck but was totally unreadable on a black t-shirt. The dark green text just disappeared. I printed the logo on five different colored shirts, from white to navy, to see what happened. On the third try, a light grey shirt, it was clear that we needed a much lighter version of the green. Has anyone else had to make a logo work across totally different materials?

Totally unreadable" happens with embroidered hats too, it's a nightmare.

Used to think embroidery just made things smaller. This changed my mind.

A friend's brewery logo looked fine on cans but was a disaster on their neon bar sign. The thin lines just vanished into the light. They had to make a whole separate, bolder version just for that.
