Paid a graphic designer $500 for a logo redo. Best money I ever wasted?

My old logo looked like clip art from 2004. The new one actually works on business cards and my website without looking like a mess. Anyone else shell out for professional branding and actually see a difference?

The day I finally hired a real designer was a game changer. My old logo was just not working on anything smaller than a billboard, everything looked fuzzy. The new one is clean and scales down to a tiny social media avatar without losing any detail. Clients actually comment on it now, which never happened before. Money well spent if you ask me, it makes you look way more legit.

Three years ago I spent $400 on a logo from a guy on Fiverr and it looked okay on my website but on a coffee mug it was a total mess. @grace926 you are exactly right that scaling matters more than people realize. I had to redo all my grooming shop signs and business cards because the old one looked blurry and unprofessional. The small stuff like social media icons or email signatures is where a bad logo really hurts you. A good designer saves you from having to fix things twice which is worth every penny in my book.
