Logo rebrand I tried on my own truck backfired hard
So I own a tree service and last summer I redesigned my truck logo myself in Canva. Thought I was being clever with a chainsaw silhouette crossed over a tree stump, bold red and black. Within a month three neighbors asked if I was a demolition company or something. Learned that silhouettes can get real confusing real fast if you don't add text that clearly says what you do. Now I just use a simple green leaf with the company name underneath, way less headache. Has anyone else had a DIY logo flop on them like that?

I did something similar with my own truck a few years back for my pressure washing side gig. I spent a whole weekend designing what I thought was a slick logo with a spray nozzle and water droplets in blue and gray. First week on the road, a guy flagged me down at a red light asking if I was a pest control company because the droplets looked like bug spray. I had to explain myself at least five times before I just covered it with a magnetic sign. Now I keep it boring with a simple hose clip art and my phone number in big white letters. I feel your pain man, sometimes simple wins hard.

And tbh @perez.cole, I once had a guy think my lawn care flyer was for a hot dog stand cause the mower looked like a grill.
