Just realized I passed 50 logo drafts for one client, that can't be normal

I've been tracking my revision counts for the last few months because I felt like I was going crazy with this one coffee shop rebrand. Turns out I sent 53 different logo variations before they picked something close to my first sketch. Fifty three, and the funny part is they only paid for three rounds, so I basically gave away 50 drafts of my time. It made me wonder if I'm just bad at reading what clients actually want from the start, or if some people need to see every option to feel sure. I also noticed my most profitable projects capped at like 8 versions total, which is a huge gap. Anyone else keep a version counter and find a number that made them rethink their whole pricing model?

Honestly, that just sounds like a thorough client who wants to be sure, and you gave them exactly what they needed to get there. If anything, you should charge more upfront so those 50 drafts feel like a bonus, not a giveaway.
