I finally ditched my logo guidelines and let the printer do what they wanted
Honestly, for years I was super strict about exact Pantone matches and specific spacing in my brand kits. But last month I had a rush job on some merch for a local band in Austin and I just sent them flat vector files with no instructions. The printer actually adjusted the saturation to work better on black tees and it looked way better than my original specs. Ngl, it felt wrong at first but the final print had way more pop than any of my rigidly controlled runs. Has anyone else let go of their brand rules and gotten a better result?
