Can we talk about the new sign at the old diner on Main Street?
I saw the new logo for Pete's Diner last week, and everyone seems to love the modern look. In my view, the clean, thin font and single-color design they chose makes it look like any other cafe and loses all the charm of the old, chunky red sign. That old sign had character and told you exactly what kind of place it was from a block away. Has anyone else seen a local spot update their brand and feel like it went too plain?

That new Pete's sign looks like it belongs on a phone app, not a diner. Honestly, the old red one felt like part of the street itself. I saw the same thing happen to Miller's Hardware last year, just a boring gray square now. Tbh it makes me not even want to go in, it feels like they're trying to hide what they are.

Totally get that. It's like they're ashamed of being a real place. Makes everything feel generic and cold.
