A sign painter in Amarillo told me to squint at my logo from 20 feet away and it finally hit me
Last month I was at a truck stop just outside Amarillo and got talking to an older guy who paints signs for a living. I showed him a logo I had been messing with for my brother's lawn care thing and he just stepped back about 20 feet and squinted at my phone. He said if you can't tell what it says from across the lot, it doesn't matter how clever it looks up close. I went home and did the same thing with about 6 other logos I liked and half of them turned into gray mush. Has anyone else tried the squint test on their own stuff and been surprised by what falls apart?
