Why is everyone in this group obsessed with monstera albo cuttings
I get that variegated plants look cool, but last week at the Franklin Park greenhouse I saw a guy nearly in tears over a single node cutting priced at $85. Meanwhile the regular monstera next to it had five healthy leaves and nobody even glanced its way. Is the rarity really worth the constant rot risk and the slow growth, or are we all just chasing the same Instagram trend that dies in winter?

$85 for a stick with one node is wild. I saw someone on Facebook marketplace asking $200 for a two leaf cutting last month, and the sad part is somebody probably bought it. The regular monstera with five leaves is sitting there like the reliable friend nobody notices while everyone loses their mind over the plant version of a lottery ticket. Idk, maybe the chase is the point and the actual plant is just the excuse.
