TIL buying 'rare' seeds on Etsy is a total gamble lol
Last spring I got super into growing native wildflowers and dropped like $45 on a pack of 'rare blue lupine' seeds from some shop in Texas. Waited 6 weeks for them to arrive and they came in a plain envelope with no instructions lol. Planted them all in my raised bed, watered them every day for a month, and they turned out to be regular old purple clover. I messaged the seller and they ghosted me instantly. Lesson learned - now I only buy from actual botanical gardens or trusted seed exchanges. Has anyone else gotten scammed by fake plant sellers on Etsy or Amazon?

Wait you paid $45 and waited 6 weeks for what basically became purple clover? Thats insane honestly. I've seen people complain about getting the wrong plants but clover instead of blue lupine is next level bad. @patricia385 your oregano story is crazy too, like how do you even swap wild bergamot with oregano. I feel like these sellers just grab whatever cheap seeds they have lying around and slap a fancy name on the packet. Its really disappointing when you put that much time and money into something just to get tricked like that.
