Spent $38 on a cheap soil test kit and it finally explained why my pothos kept dying
Ngl I bought a $38 soil test kit from the hardware store on a whim two months ago after losing my third pothos in a row, and it turned out my tap water was pushing the pH way too high for most of my houseplants. I switched to filtered water and repotted with a better mix, and now I've got new leaves coming in on almost everything, which honestly feels like a huge win after months of watching stuff yellow and drop. Has anyone else tested their tap water for plants, and did you end up changing what you use or just pick different plants for it?
